  • StormWater Action Team Corporate Service Day
    Friday September 22nd | 12:30 PM - 04:30 PM

Bacteria, fertilizer, and trash pollute our streams each year by way of street-site storm drains causing a big impact on wildlife and public health. With your help we can solve this problem with small acts of stewardship around our neighborhoods and businesses. You can do this by joining the White River Alliance’s newest stewardship program – SWATs. A SWAT is a StormWater Action Team made up of your colleagues who are willing to donate time to help promote water quality awareness in neighborhoods or commercial centers. Form a team to start making a difference for our water today! We will meet at a central point before heading out to our target areas and reconvene for a beer and refreshments afterward. To register, go to http://tiny.cc/Corp_SWAT17 or email Scott Minor at scott@thewhiteriveralliance.org.

  • Climate Change in Indiana Seminar
    Wednesday September 27th | 06:30 PM - 08:30 PM

Our climate shapes our lives. The ways we build our roads, manage our farms, move our water, and use our energy are all influenced by our unique Indiana climate. But our climate has been changing, and it will continue changing in ways that will affect our productivity, our safety, and our livelihoods.

Experts from around the state, led by the Purdue Climate Change Research Center, have come together to synthesize the best available science on climate change impacts into a series of reports that discuss how a changing climate will affect state and local interests. Speaker Melissa Widhalm, Operations Manager for the Purdue Climate Change Research Center will be highlighting key findings on what climate change means for Indiana.
